Will opening my car damage it?

Not when it’s done properly. An air wedge and long reach tool open most cars without scratching paint or bending the door. We avoid slim jims on modern cars because of the airbags and wiring inside the door.

What if my ID is locked in the car?

That’s normal. We open the car first, then take a look at your ID before we leave.

Can you open a car with the smart key inside?

Yes. Many push button start cars won’t lock with the fob inside, but some will, especially if a door is locked by hand. We open them the same way as any other car.
